About Faculty

The Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology is the youngest department at SGGW. The faculty was established in 2021 by separating courses of study consistent with the scientific discipline of “biological sciences” from other faculties. We educate in universal fields of study that guarantee a broad view of the modern world and provide preparation for careers in the bioeconomy. At the same time, we do not close off other opportunities for development, because we “BIO” people understand particularly well that everyone has different abilities and talents.

When you choose to study at Faculty B&B, you will find that interdisciplinarity is in our DNA – we show you how to combine the latest biological discoveries with applications in crop production, animal production, agri-food industry, pharmaceuticals and medicine.

Our faculty is a place for those who care about understanding the mysteries of life and using this knowledge wisely for the good of themselves and the planet. It’s a place where we emphasize practical skills, which students learn in well-equipped and modern laboratories, under the guidance of competent staff.
